Set on Tjörn Island on Sweden’s west coast, an hour’s drive north of Gothenburg, Pilane – Sweden’s coolest sculpture park – is currently a hive of activity as it opened for the season on 17 May. The creator of Pilane, Peter Lennby, was originally living a hectic life as a city dweller, but has now transformed into a rural sheep breeder who uses a chainsaw to reshape the local landscape.
